With the release of ASHRAE and IECC 2024, lighting control professionals face a new frontier of code compliance that demands deeper understanding and smarter strategies. This presentation offers a guided tour through the latest lighting control requirements, with an emphasis on how measurement and verification (M&V) plays a critical role—especially in major urban markets like New York City where local energy laws and enforcement are rapidly evolving.

Joe Briscoe brings a wealth of lighting control knowledge and industry experience.
Beginning his career with GE, where he had product responsibility leading up to product line management. Joe then successfully managed the commercial business for PLC Multipoint prior to joining Leviton. Joe has also been active with NEMA and IES and chaired the Energy Management Committee. Joe earned both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Joe and his family reside in Plantsville, Connecticut.

Paul Farris

Paul has been the Northeast Regional Sales Manager in Leviton Company for ten years. Paul brings thirty years of experience in various sales roles in the electrical industry. He worked at General Electric as sales manager for switchgear in the Industrial Sales and National Accounts space. From there, he became a Lighting Controls Sales Manager for a manufacturer’s representative firm in Boston before joining Leviton. Paul holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Northeastern University and an MBA from Babson College. Paul and his family reside in the Boston area.
