This discussion will focus on the feature lobby of 3 Times Square and the collaborative process necessary to achieve the final lighting design concept.
Learning Objectives
- Attendees will learn about the collaborative process between the architect, client, and lighting designer. The talk will cover the design process from the germ of a concept and the progression from in-house mock-ups, to lighting calculations, to renderings, to full size contractor mock-up to the completed installation.
- This talk with demonstrate through visuals as well as hands-on table top review the latest LED technology and how it was customized to achieve a the final successful result.
- Attendees will learn how the collaborative process involves being open to new ideas, listening to the architectural design team’s goals, as well as all of the steps required to achieve a lighting design concept.
- Attendees will have a table top hand-on opportunity to observe and handle the lighting components and the modifications required in order to achieve the final lighting design.
