The new ANSI/IES LP-30 is a user’s guide to TM-30. This presentation reviews LP-30 and its phase-by-phase explanation of how lighting designers can integrate TM-30 into their design workflow. It includes examples of deliverables for each phase. Attendees will also receive discounts on the purchase of TM-30 and LP-30.
Knowledge of TM-30 is helpful, but not required, for this presentation.

- Understand how light can induce chroma shift and hue shift, and how they affect color perception of objects and materials.
- Describe the TM-30 Design Intents of Preference, Vividness, and Fidelity.
- Determine the TM-30 information gathered at each stage of the design process.
- Integrate TM-30 into the design process and specification documents.
Speaker

Jason is the principal of Studio T+L, a lighting design and theatre consulting firm in Brooklyn, New York. His lighting design work ranges from hospitality to houses of worship, and from commercial offices to performing arts centers and experiential spaces. He is also the Co-Chair of the IES Color Committee and a frequent speaker on lighting design, color, and TM-30.
Jason is the author of two books on lighting design: Designing with Light: The Art, Science, and Practice of Architectural Lighting Design and Fundamentals of Energy Efficient Lighting and Controls. He also teaches lighting design at New York School of Interior Design, Fashion Institute of Technology, and New York University.
