Xiaoxiao Cui is a Lighting Designer at Borealis Lighting Design Studio, BR+A Consulting Engineers in New York City. Her experience centers on healthcare and education projects. She holds an MFA in Lighting Design from Parsons School of Design, where she received the IES 2024 Thesis Award for her research “Lighting Psychology in Virtual Reality: Revisiting John Flynn’s Lighting Modes Theory.” Xiaoxiao is passionate about how emerging technologies can integrate with lighting to enhance human well-being.
