Elías Cisneros is an Lighting Architect with a heritage of Mesoamerican Cultures. He is Professor of the Architectural Lighting Design Diploma at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) as well as at the Iberoamerican University (IBERO).
Elias was nominated for the Queen Sofia Award in Spain and is custodian of the “Dove of Peace” by UNESCO. He serves as a juror for national and international lighting design awards; synodal of university theses; and lecturer in several countries in America, Asia and Europe. He was President of the Yucatan College of Architects in 2018-2021. His firm is No.1 in the ranking of the “10 Firms for sustainable cities / Smart Cities.” by the CNN/Expansión group.
Elias is passionate about the relevant social function that shadows and lights play in societies of all times. He received an Honorable mention in the XV Biennial of Yucatecan Architecture 2023.
