Brienne Willcock

Brienne Willcock, LC, is deeply committed to the lighting industry inspired by her background in architectural lighting design. As the Director of Education and Standards at the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES), she leads efforts to provide essential resources for lighting professionals. Brienne’s strong advocacy for education reflects her dedication to advancing the field and maintaining best practices in lighting. Her genuine curiosity about the industry’s direction drives her to continuously seek opportunities for the lighting community to connect and thrive. Notably, she was honored as an Honorary Affiliate by the American Institute of Architects in 2014. Brienne has also served in various leadership roles as President of IES Detroit (2013-2015) and as the Chair of the IES Annual Conference (2016 and 2017). In addition to her work at IES, she curates the respected LightFair Conference, further demonstrating her commitment to advancing industry knowledge and collaboration.
