Jay Wratten

Jay leads WSP’s Property and Buildings Innovation Advisory Services team, which focuses on creating portfolio and enterprise-wide strategies for Owners, Operators, and Tenants of the built environment. Within this context, Jay leads a team that develops strategies which can be readily implemented by clients, with clear alignment to the people, business, and technology needs of the organization. Specific examples include digital transformation (smart/connected workplace), smart city and district technology masterplans, portfolio energy management, and, more recently, adaption to COVID-19. Sport sector lead for WSP USA Buildings, role includes developing and executing sports strategy, teams, and pursuits across multidisciplinary service offerings. His recent project experience includes custom fixture design and lighting design across a broad array of sectors. In addition to enjoying the contributions of my colleagues from around the world, I had a chance to contribute to WSP’s recently published ‘Decarbonizing Healthcare’ whitepaper. He is a professional member of the International Association of Lighting Designers and a registered Lighting Certified Professional. He has extensive knowledge of lighting control systems and daylight harvesting as well as experience in solid state lighting performance. Instructor – University of Colorado Boulder Jay was named to Lighting Magazine’s 40-Under-40 in 2018, and to Consulting-Specifying Engineer’s 40-Under-40 in 2016.
