Event Safety

As we prepare for you in New York City, learn about the health and safety measures we have in place for LEDucation 2021.

The safety and health of our industry is of utmost importance. LEDucation will be monitoring local, state and federal health recommendations and regulations that relate to the health and wellbeing of all our stakeholders. As this is an evolving situation, we are committed to providing regular updates to you as new information becomes available.

If you are planning to travel and book rooms at the New York Hilton Midtown, please review the Hilton CleanStay program. Hilton has partnered with RB, makers of Lysol® & Dettol®*, to help deliver an even cleaner stay for guests. From social distancing, increased scheduled cleaning of public spaces, and changes to their amenities and services, the New York Hilton Midtown is committed to protecting your wellbeing while using their public spaces.

Physical Distancing

Physical Distancing: LEDucation will maintain a density of participants in line with CDC, government and local authority regulations and guidance. This will be managed through one or more control measures such as pre-show communications to participants, a one-way traffic system around show floors, staggered entry times, on-site signage and floor markings and on-site social distance ambassadors.

Non-Contact Registration: LEDucation will employ a system that facilitates non-contact registration and badge pickup for attendees.

Optional Registration: LEDucation has relaxed registration policies that would allow attendees to switch to attend virtual instead of in-person at no additional charge.

Physical Contact: LEDucation requests that participants avoid physical contact, such as handshakes and embraces, promoting alternative ways to greet business partners. The exchange of printed materials, such as business cards and sales brochures, will also be discouraged, with digital alternatives recommended.

Adapted Conference Rooms: We are revising seating arrangements and set-up in conference and meeting room to enable greater space between seats. We are also working with our A/V solutions to avoid the sharing of equipment, such as computers and microphones.

Food and Beverage Stations: LEDucation will employ the highest standard of food safety, minimizing self-service buffets in favor of pre-packaged food options. Social distancing will be maintained through the use of floor markings and relevant signage.

Protect & Detect

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): All attendees will be required to wear a face mask on entry.

First Aid: All event participants will have access to a qualified EMT and a separate quarantine area. Participants will be asked not to attend if they are feeling unwell, and the show team will follow local health authority guidance on detecting and managing anyone who displays symptoms of COVID-19.

Screening: LEDucation will follow relevant health authority guidance on screening participants. This may include checking the temperatures of everyone on entry, through thermal scanning or other screening processes.

Trace and Contact: Should it be necessary, LEDucation will work with local authorities to trace and contact participants at the show.

Cleaning and Hygiene

Enhanced Cleaning: Public, high-traffic areas of the New York Hilton Midtown will undertake enhanced, deep cleaning before, during and after the show. LEDucation is working with the venue to ensure the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness. This includes continuous sanitization throughout the course of an event, with a focus on high-touch areas such as door handles, restrooms and food and beverage areas.

Personal Hygiene: LEDucation will provide additional hand washing facilities and hand sanitizing stations throughout the event space, encouraging all participants to regularly wash and disinfect their hands.
