In recent years, the use of color-changing fixtures has been widespread in architectural lighting, yet no standardized evaluation method calculates the color-changing light attributes. The current photometric calculation tools fail to provide adequate information, and mockups are still the only way to compare RGB light fixtures accurately. In this presentation, we will share our conversation with various manufacturers, the concerns involved from the specifier’s point of view, and provide suggestions as to how the manufacturers can help specifiers to resolve these shortcomings. Basic knowledge of color changing and lighting calculation are recommended for this session.
